The Hope Touch

The Hope Touch is a customized 20 minute hands on therapy during the infusion session. These simple treatments can have a focus of Massage, Reflexology, Reiki or Meridian Touch. The patient’s current health goals will be reviewed and incorporated into each therapy. The gift of touch has long been a part of adding comfort, easing anxiety and reducing stress. These effects help the body’s immune system to function better and bolster a patient’s quality of life during active cancer treatments. These therapies are Hope’s gift to our valued patients. Please enjoy.

Hope-Touch-massage
Massage.
The massage focused treatment features a lotion with analgesic and antiseptic qualities to soothe tired muscles and aching joints. Pressure will be adjusted to the patients comfort level and current clinical needs. This relaxation is designed to relieve fatigue that sometimes is associated with tired and achy feet and hands. Massage is one of life’s rewards we are delighted to offer.

Hope-Touch-reflexology

Reflexology. The reflexology treatment will allow the full body to be addressed through touch to specific zones on the feet and hands. Reflexology will be used to complement patient and clinical concerns with a benefit of reduced stress. This ancient art of therapeutic touch has been found in China, Egypt and Greek cultures as early as 2500 BC.  This ancient endowment for wellbeing is available for your enjoyment.

Hope-Touch-Reiki

Reiki. The abbreviated Reiki treatment emphasizes hands on healing energy. Reiki is a Japanese based therapy that seeks to balance the patient’s own life force energy, or chi. While Reiki is a simple approach to help the mind, body and spirit, it is not a religion based practice. Some benefits of Reiki include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.  Reiki is the least physical of all the techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

Hope-Touch-Meridien

Meridian Touch. Meridian Touch is a slight pressure and hand hold therapy uniquely designed for patients in an infusion center. It uses key points associated with acupressure to aid the body’s own system for combating fatigue, nausea and anxiety. The stimulation of acupressure points release muscular tension, promotes circulation of blood, and enhances the body’s life force energy to aid self healing.
